Why is the shielding only in the front flap?

Your device needs to send and receive signal. Shielding every side would block calls, data, and WiFi, so the shielding is placed on the side that faces you.

• Phone: Face the flap toward your head on calls and toward your body in a pocket. Fold it behind the phone while using the screen.
• Slim Detachable: The shielding is in the front flap of the EMF blocking folio. The inner case on its own has no shielding, so snap it back into the folio when you want that protection. See Do I get EMF protection with just the inner case?
• Tablet: Fold the cover behind the tablet while holding it, and keep the shielded side down on your lap.
